With Martha's Kids
I met him in 1999.
What attracted me the most was his devotion for his family,
His love for his farm and for his country.
He was proud of his accomplishments,he told me
it was not so difficult to get there, he didn’t have to struggle,
working hard was just enjoyment. I knew later he worked very
hard.
The first time we met he talked about his wife, how they’ve
met, their life together, their kids.
How much he missed her and how hard it was to lose her.
After our first date I knew all about Danny,
Renee and Kevin their spouses and kids.
I went back to Medellin, Colombia knowing I’ve met
an extraordinary person.
I imagine I also gave him a good impression as
he started to call often. HA! Did I mention I thought he was

His family became mine. Mine became his.
We had joyful times and sad times when we lost Jake,
Pauline , our beloved Renee and also Roxie.
Some friends have gone…
It’s been an adventure living in Kentucky with The Holts.
